A. Store owners / managers

Reach out only where it strengthens the story — the cheapest or priciest store, or one with a number you can't explain. Not every store needs a call.
Ethics, briefly: always identify yourself as a Bushwick Daily intern. "On the record" means you can quote them by name — ask "may I quote you?" Confirm the spelling of names and titles. Don't promise anonymity you can't keep; check with the Coordinator first.

B. Experts / economists / officials

Ideas: a CUNY economist or the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute, a food-policy nonprofit, Councilmember Gutiérrez's office, the city agency running the public-grocery program, a bodega association. Land at least one expert voice.
